About The Area

The Central Coast has attracted more than 300,000 residents since its discovery in 1788 to its outstandingly beautiful East Coast beaches, lush coastal hinterland and spectacular inlets and waterways which are just a 90-minute drive north of Sydney’s CBD, New South Wales. At Gittoes we look after all residential and commercial, retail and industrial properties from original cottages, apartments, villas, estate houses, exceptional acreages and waterfronts, land to large scale developments from the coast of Terrigal to the lush mountain plateau of Somersby.

We are at 61 Victoria Street East Gosford – an established suburb where we are well positioned to travel to most areas of the Central Coast. We like to specialise in property in the East Gosford/Springfield, Matcham/Holgate, Erina/Green Point and Somersby areas.

The Coastal community spirit is friendly and refreshing and there is something for everyone here. Great cafes,  restaurants, coastal reserves and walking trails, picturesque Brisbane Water cycling tracks, sailing, athletic, football, pony and surf lifesaving clubs. Sport teams are catered for with basketball, hockey, cricket, tennis, and rugby. There is the Bluetongue Stadium and the Central Coast Mariners, Central Coast Academy of Sport, scuba diving on the Adelaide at Terrigal Haven, Gosford racetrack and deepwater boat ramp.

Education  from early childhood through to university with great choices in primary and secondary schooling including Central Grammar School, Gosford selective high school, the Hunter Institute of TAFE college and the Ourimbah campus of Newcastle University. There is a good public transport provided by the Red Bus Company and CityRail’s Sydney to Newcastle Rail Line and Palm Beach-Ettalong Ferry service.

For those who like reading, shopping, ice-skating and movies there is Erina Fair and its regional library, Westfield at Tuggerah and East Gosford boutique and specialty shopping. Arts and culture are popular with East Gosford regional art gallery set within the Japanese Gardens, Gosford and Peninsula theatres and music at Central Coast Conservatorium. There are many well-known local actors, musicians and artists like Mike Worall, Neale Joseph and world renowned photographer Ken Duncan at Erina Heights. Visit the Avoca growers market, the Flora Festival, Mount Penang Gardens and Parklands, Australian Reptile Park at Somersby. It’s also just over an hours drive to the Hunter Valley with its vineyards, exquisite accommodation and excellent restaurants.

Business and investment confidence in the Central Coast continues to grow with locally owned businesses and larger external corporations such as Pacific Beverages, Energy Australia and Pure Fishing Australia investing in the region. There is employment in information technology, distribution, hospitality, brewing, public sector, engineering, manufacture, tourism and retail.

Some travel to the Central Coast for relaxation, the perfect getaway, a romantic weekend or to recharge from their city lives hoping to return to this beautiful environment. Gittoes welcome you to experience our wonderful lifestyle and we are looking forward to meeting you as a future resident of the Central Coast.
